You Wanted Freedom...

But Bought Yourself A JOB Instead...

You watched people leave their corporate jobs and start new ventures.


You follow others on social media talking about how they create massive revenue each month while living their best life.


You think to yourself, if THEY can do that, surely I can!


And you’re right. You absolutely can.


But what you don’t see on social media is the struggle behind all the glamour.


You want to create new income streams, so you buy all the programs to find out how. You read all the books to follow what worked for someone else.


And it’s not working.


Why?


There could be a few reasons. These are the ones I come across most often:

  • You’re focused on the dollars, instead of what lights you up
  • ​​Someone else’s way of doing things might have worked for them, but is not aligned to what YOU want
  • ​ You’re so busy grinding away at all the things (and there are a LOT of things) that you forget why you even started down this path in the first place
  • ​ You’re focused on LEARNING instead of DOING: guess what - taking ACTION is the quickest way to learn - especially if it’s not perfect


There are infinite ways to make money in this world. If freedom from a job is what you crave, why create another one?

You don’t have to throw out all of the work you’ve done until now - you might just want to tweak it a bit.


Here are some suggestions:

  • Stop posting your entire life on social media if it doesn’t feel good to you: there are lots of ways to get your message out without posting a picture of every meal you eat
  • ​ Simplify your offers so you can focus on what you do best in a way that works with the life you want
  • Don’t want to sit on zoom calls during your peak creative hours? Offer virtual services where you do the work when it feels good and send the results to the client vs spending a ton of time in meetings
  • ​ Find a schedule that feels good to you and tell others that’s how YOU work: you started this venture so you’d be in control of your schedule. So BE in control of your schedule!
  • ​ Hire someone to pick up the pieces that you struggle with - you can either spend TIME or MONEY to reach your goals

I retired from the corporate world a few years ago.


I played for a long time, just figuring out what lit me up. I knew I had value to offer, but didn’t ever want to go back to the structure of a 9-5.


I love learning and helping people, so I spent YEARS of my time and TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars on courses, mentors, programs, software to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up.


No, I didn’t get a job - but I did get a really expensive hobby…


Now, I USE what I’ve learned to help others.
